Privacy Policy

AgrroAI provides satellite-based crop advisory to farmers in India through our website and our Android app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to every AgrroAI user.

• Account information. Your name, email address and mobile number, which you provide when you create an account. While password login remains available, your password is stored only as a salted hash — we never see it.
• Farm information. The boundary you draw or select on the map, farm name, crop type, sowing date and area. This is the core of the service: without a boundary we cannot generate advisory for your land.
• Approximate or precise location. Only when you tap the locate button while mapping a farm, so the map can centre on you. We do not track your location in the background, and the app works without granting this permission.
• Photos you choose to upload. Crop photos you capture or pick from your gallery for image-based advisory. We do not scan or read your photo library.
• Payment records. Plan purchased, amount, date and the transaction reference from the payment provider. Card, UPI and bank details are handled entirely by the payment provider — they never reach our servers.
• Usage and diagnostics. Basic technical logs such as error messages, device type and app version, used to fix crashes and keep the service reliable.

• To deliver advisory. Your farm boundary is sent to our satellite data provider to generate weather, soil, irrigation, crop-health and pest insights for that field.
• To operate your account. Signing you in, keeping your farms linked to you, sending in-app notifications and support replies.
• WhatsApp updates. If you opt in, we use your mobile number, language and selected categories to queue AgrroAI farm alerts, payment or account updates, onboarding guidance and referral confirmations. You can change these choices in Profile at any time.
• To process payments. Recording which farms have active access and for how long.
• To keep the service safe and working. Detecting abuse, fixing bugs, and meeting our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.

• Satellite data provider. Receives your farm boundary and crop details so it can compute advisory for that field. It does not receive your name, email or phone number.
• Map and geocoding providers. Receive a searched place name or the coordinates you choose to locate on the map so they can return map tiles, place results and an address. Location is used only while you map a farm.
• Hosting and database provider. Stores your account and farm records on our behalf under contract.
• Payment provider. Processes your payment and returns a transaction reference to us.
• WhatsApp delivery provider. When WhatsApp delivery is enabled and you have opted in, receives your mobile number and the AgrroAI message needed to deliver the update. Authentication codes are service messages and do not subscribe you to optional updates.
• Legal authorities. Only where we are required to disclose information by law.

We keep your account and farm data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we are legally required to keep — payment records are retained for up to 8 years to meet Indian tax and accounting rules. Retained payment records are limited to the transaction amount, date and reference.

• Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile, farms and language at any time inside the app.
• Deleting a farm. Removing a farm removes its boundary and advisory history.
• Deleting your account. You can delete your entire account from Profile in the app or from our public deletion page. You must sign in or contact support from the account email so we can verify ownership.
• Permissions. Camera, photo and location permissions can be revoked at any time in Android Settings. The app continues to work with reduced functionality.
• WhatsApp choices. Optional WhatsApp updates are off until you opt in. You can disable all updates or individual categories from Profile. Login and security codes are handled separately from optional updates.

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to production data is restricted to a small number of authorised staff. Our API keys for third-party services are held on our servers only and are never included in the app.

AgrroAI is intended for adult farmers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
